Depends who the players are Corner Flag - care to enlighten us?

Of course, don't think it's a state secret, Casey and Scott Lye.
Rumours were circulating at Yate and confirmed after they helped Larkhall beat Melksham.

Cant win can he? Rudge criticised for driving them out, Winter for bringing them back... Good luck to him. He has the reigns and therefore my support.

I've said on here before that we need players with solid Southern Prem experience, and Casey and Lye fit into that category. Local lads too. Would welcome them back. Hope it's not just rumour.

It seems as if your forum is as happy as ours

It's a rumour.

I must abide by the boards decision and wish Steve well but may I request that he moderates his lanquage when pointing out the error of their ways to match officials. The clubs record on these and related matters has not been good and hopefully the chairman has marked Steves card .
Ref Steve Casey it would be a welcome move if it happens,Scott Lye has always shown flashes of talent but lacks consistancy perhaps under a new manager he could improve however he would be a welcome addition to the squad.

Well you can scrub those off Creaky, as of this morning no move for Casey, and I heard on the grapvine another player rejected an approach.

Not exactly the appointment I had hoped for but I wish Steve all the very best and will be pleased to applaude his efforts if successful (or clearly does his best in impossible circumstances). I am seriously worried that he has such a small squad to work with - and that he may be having to recruit from sources other than he might ideally choose.

Of course, everyone wanted a new sweep of the broom and a fresh start, but Steve has shown his ambition and effort so far, even if things haven't been particularly easy for him. Plus, he really does seem to have an affinity with the playing squad.
Even though we're all sad to see Adie and Toby leave the club (Both players that provided some excellent performances for us) hopefully the silver lining will be that the manager has a little extra spare on the wage budget to tempt in the kind of players who'll give some confidence to the side.
Best of luck Steve Winter. With hard work, our young squad can develop into a successful side.
I concur with the language issue, though - We were all in disbelief at the standard of refereeing against Yate, but it doesn't do our club any favours to swear at the officials.
