Southern League South Division 1 play offs - club thrown out
Portishead Town, whose last game saw them defeat Frome at Frome but finish second to Frome Town in the SLS div 1 have not only been thrown out of the play offs but relegated to step 5. There’s quite a detailed statement on their x site. Basically they failed to get the necessary stands erected in time although they claim the FA gave them misleading info. Feel sorry for their fans who could have been watching Step 3 football next season in the Southern League Prem but will now be watching Western League soccer.

They’ve been throwing silly money at the playing budget by all accounts, and neglecting to improve their facilities at the same time. Another club overstretching and paying the price.
