Ok half right there and not good news for us.
Farnborough 4 Chelmsford 2
Not good news for anyone associated with the current bottom four. It clearly makes overtaking Farnborough that much more difficult. It may well be a case of too little too late for us.

Why oh why have we left it so late to “attempt” to save our league status?
Our performances since Xmas have, particularly away from home, simply not been good enough. In the meantime teams outside the bottom four have been gradually creeping away from the relegation zone. As it stands we seem to be counting on catching Farnborough when we should also keep a watch on Enfield and Bath City who have games in hand.
Bath didn’t wait around in appointing a new manager when their going got rough and with his quality they could easily escape the dreaded drop.
I’m surprised our Board have kept faith with our management but then maybe at the end of the day we simply can’t afford to stay in National League South.
I sincerely hope I’m wrong and that our two new loan players perform well for the remaining six games and we somehow manage to retain our league status!!

on the flip side, there's no guarantee us making that change would have made any difference. this is very much Gary's group, and the atmosphere in the squad I suspect would be hard to replicate with someone else at the helm.
Bath, by their fans own admission, have left it too late to change manager and fully expect it to be an appointment to get them back into this division next season.
As it is, 12 points from last six games makes us one of the divisions form teams, back the group and let's see what happens. Current highest points total to still be relegated from this division is 48, and that figure might be needed to be matched this year...

Suspect you would have seen a positive difference, had a proactive and serious change been made, especially in the autumn. Unfortunately squad atmosphere alone does not get a team over the line when it comes down to being on the right side of the fine margins. How many times has the manager bemoaned his team not doing the basics this season? But, of course, get that, to some, it is a sin to even suggest that new ideas and new perspectives might have been required!!
Fear that we will regret many things from playing outlook and inaction to late goals conceded over the season as the club stuck to their 'model'. Might be one of the form teams but the reality is that survival is not in Chippenham hands with snookers required because of the slump for much of the season. As already mentioned in previous posts - too little too late? Only time will tell. But if Farnborough blow it - won't say much about them.

Bath and Enfield lose tonight.
Finally our goal difference isn't the worst

Well we need to win the next two games just to get to the stage Farnborough are now. Yes Mr Hogan is right they will have to win their 4 games to give themselves a chance. Farnborough meanwhile have 4 games sides with nothing much to play for.
Start planning for next season. Hopefully we can make a promotion push.
Need to get the players enjoying their football and getting the supporters feeling the love again.
