FT 1-3. Dull first half followed by an abysmal second half. A performance that perfectly illustrates our league position and wasnt helped by a disjointed and negative approach to the game.
Haines and Mehew only players to come out of that with any credit.

Disagree, thought we were well in the game, Horsham looked nothing special, although as usual we created little in the final third.
Then we gifted them the game, with a bit of quality up front we’d be ok, but none of our strikers are good enough, compounded by Parsons being disinterested.
Getting bored of the excuses now, £17 for this rubbish.

An error started to the rot leading to first Horsham goal. Will has kept us in the game more times than I care to remember so not blaming him. He should never have been put in the position to make the error, the Chippenham corner just prior to goal was a shambles with being taken short rather than getting ball into box and hopefully creating a goal scoring chance
A dismal afternoon for the dwindling home crowd to suffer

First half had the air of a pre-season game about it. We looked our usual comfortable selves, passing the ball about confidently but with little or no end product as usual. Second half with the wind behind us and going down the slope we started brightly I thought, and actually forced their keeper into a save! Then came the corner - instead of putting them under pressure with an in-swinger we tried some half baked routine straight out of the Academy ‘faffing about’ manual - the ball ends up in our half with Will coming out to routinely clear it. Not sure if there was a bobble but the air shot had the inevitable consequence and their player walked the ball into the empty net. Game over against a not spectacular but efficient Horsham side who were well supported, with an impressive array of flags on display.
A worrying injury to Luke Haines at the end - if he’s out then we’re bang in trouble - not that we aren’t already.

People are drifting away from CTFC. No wonder really - for instance today it was £17 quid to watch some unenjoyable, sterile and ultimately losing, Development FC football at HP or choose to pay £15 quid to see professional football in the FA Cup at Swindon Town. The white flag was raised weeks ago regarding this season.Sad state of affairs.

Previous posts sum up the afternoon pretty well. Don't think either keeper had a save to make in the first half. If it had been so chilly I think I would have nodded off! It was really more of the same boring negative football sideways, backward passing. Our build up is so pedestrian by the time we get anywhere near the opponents penalty they have had time to get organised. No wonder we have the second worst goals for in the league.
Not sure just how many games have to be played before the management accept their tactics/style of play doesn't work and is totally ineffective.
We have some good players who would have no trouble getting into another NLS side but apart from around 4 players who could be regarded as regular everyone else seems to be in out in out. Changing the side so much can't help.
