Maidenhead United

I know we still have a game tonight but popular and long-standing Maidenhead United manager Alan Devonshire has announced he is stepping down after Saturday’s game v Chippenham Town. The Berkshire club have appealed for a large crowd to bid him a fond farewell. This announcement could go for or against us.

Re: Maidenhead United

Once again this silence is deafening. After a glimmer of a revival in fortunes we have slipped back to losing ways.
It would appear that as a club we are flying the white flag and looking forward to playing at a lower level next season
I cannot fault the effort and commitment of the players but of change of management may give us an outside chance of avoiding the drop

Re: Maidenhead United

It would be nice if the board said something, even if it's we have faith in Gary who will remain our manager for the foreseeable future  but I guess that attendances would fall over the busy holiday period that's coming up.
