Weston super Mare have signed Bath City striker Scott Wilson on loan, assume he will play against us tomorrow.

There is a pitch inspection planned for 9am tomorrow after the heavy rain today.

Gloomy day, bit of a gloomy atmosphere. Same old, same old I'm afraid. Can't fault the players efforts but unproductive first half against an admittedly confident WSM. Didn't really give the new six foot four striker much to go on and the slow build up.... so frustrating. Improved 2nd half despite the habitual sidways passing - with lots of possession but again no end product and not enough shots on goal. 300 in attendance.

Depressing. Looked a bigger crowd than 300 given there must have been 30-50 WSM fans. Much better in the second half up the slope but not enough to really trouble our opposition. Their goalie did make one amazing save near the end which could have caused penalties but equally Will Henry kept the 0-1 score intact.
I am perhaps reading more than I should into the disappearance of the other thread and the conversation I saw between Gary and Neil as the players left the pitch

Even if we had Harry Kane up front ,with the service our forwards get he would probably find it hard to score.Still plenty of points in the league to play for.And don’t forget we are still in the Wiltshire Premiership Shield,so still plenty to look forward to this season. Remember there are teams in other leagues in the same position as us or if not worse. On a positive note good job we have got Will Henry.

Why oh why do we spend money getting an attacking loan striker type of player in and then don’t change our style of play to suit his attacking capabilities?
Chuckwu is big and strong but the service to him yesterday was pathetic to say the least!!
We don’t play anymore with good old fashioned wingers which he needs!!
We continue to play “tippy tippy” academy style of football with ever increasing back and forth, and sideways movement.
I have been a season ticket holder for the last six seasons but I’ve just about had enough of our totally negative style of play. I thought last season was bad enough but apart from an “new” attacking style against Bristol Rovers in a pre season game that was a false dawn.
In my eyes too much attention is focused on the Academy while our stay in National League South is draining away.
To maintain our current league status we simply must change our style of play or else!!

I agree with the previous post regarding good old fashioned wingers to get into good positions out wide and cross the ball into the box to give a player like Chuckwu a realistic chance of scoring. Unfortunately we don't seem to have any specialist wingers in the squad. Watching the second half in particular yesterday was like watching virtually any of the previous home games this year (maybe except Dorking first game). Plenty of endeavour and plenty of possession but nothing to show for it.
