Scrappy. The point being more valuable to Welling than to us, as they stare down the barrel of relegation. Controlled the game nicely for the first 15 minutes., deserved our goal.... and then accountably became error-prone and disjointed which let Welling in. They equalised with what looked like an almost uncontested goal from a set-piece. |Thereafter neither side could find any fluency or rhythm. Probably we should have won it, with what looked from a distance to be an absolute sitter missed by Tom M.
Not our finest hour..... although, probably earlier in the season, we would have lost a game like this. No arguments with Caine being MoTM.. but there wasn't a lot of competition around quite honestly.

An impressive start which tailed off when we seemed to take our foot off the gas. A point apiece was a fair result in a game which almost had the feel of end of season about it, from our perspective anyway. Bath & Salisbury looking over their shoulders.

A fairly ordinary game of football, not helped by the conditions. I thought we shaded the first half but Welling shaded the second and looked the more likely winners towards the end. However overall I thought a draw was a fair result. A mid table finish is looking likely, and that's fine by me!

Competitive enough match, effort was there, but low on quality. The slow sideways Chippenham pass too much on show - which must of given Welling encouragement to get back in the game after going a goal behind. Game of opinions....but surprised Bradbury was man of the match - thought that Grant and Haines were again the consistent performers in another underwhelming home match.
