That's a bit more like it.
Finally I get to see a win at home
Should have made it safe but a proper battling performance in the second half. Whatever was said at half-time worked although some nervous moments late on looked like 2-2 was on the cards.
I would have had Mehew as MOTM not Haines. And Jac Poffley did exceptionally well in place of injured Williams

Not an easy watch. Ragged, untidy first half, full of errors. Aveley fully deserved their lead. They released the ball quickly and ran at us continually down the right. We came out after the break, upped the tempo and the accuracy, found the spaces.. and released runners at the right moment. Cue the quick goals.Nervy finish where we nearly self-destructed a couple of times.. but generally managed things well. Agree about Jac Poffley. He had time enough to fully get into the game. I liked his decision making, commitment in the air and general aggression. I'd call that a proper debut.
Great to see a Home win.. a collectors' item recently.. even if it was unpretty.

Certainly a game of two halves. In the first half we played our normal boring home style and were lucky to only be one down at half time in main thanks to some fine goal
keeping from Will Henry. Aveley showed us what attacking football was all about. Quick ball forward rather than continual sideways/backward passing which clearly hasn't and still doesn't work at home.
Fortunately the second half totally different. We actually concentrated more on attacking the opponents rather than boring them silly with them waiting for us to get into their half.
First half totally forgettable second half a much more entertaining, and rewarding, performance

An awful first half performance that left plenty of people scratching their heads....is this the team that won 4-1 away last week to the top side? Aveley could and should have been 3 up at half time, if only they had taken their chances and had better luck. As has often been the case at home these last two seasons we played much better at the start of the second half (obviously knowing that we were behind) and the purple patch produced the two goals needed to take the lead. Thereafter I thought it was fairly even and thankfully we didn't concede when hanging on at the end. Ultimately a welcome home win.

1st half was poor - Looked cautious, slow with the ball and well off the pace - too many walking footballers. Aveley played with purpose and all the good football. 2nd half better - especially early on with the two quick goals but the handbrake is on too much in home games.

There was something wrong with the team shape/formation in the first half, it seemed to me. Ty and Leon seemed to be in each other's way. When Leon moved into a more central midfield position after the break both were freed up to play to their strengths
