Re: V Hemel H

Outstanding from top-to-toe. Made HH look very ordinary  indeed.  We were releasing the ball so much more quickly than usual and the intelligence of the up-front running created space everywhere. Our Defence was exceptional. Sunshine , a crowd north of 800 and a thumping win. To be savoured. Our quality at last really shone through. More, please....

Re: V Hemel H

Excellent result, made Hemel look average, as we did against WSM but this time we put the ball away. Granted maybe helped by the penalty as Harry had a couple of early chances  and couldn’t capitalise. Very unlucky with the chance that hit both post!!
We just played the ball forward, at pace with purpose.
Dawes and Leon were excellent. Most others good as well.
Let’s have some more of that please and not this dull defensive rubbish.

Re: V Hemel H

Enjoyed the game. So refreshing to see us play with attacking intent and be rid of the overcomplicated safe stuff. Looked to be a completely different mindset out there and the team looked more comfortable with it.Long may it continue - after all, it is not much of an ask, that the supporter sees something to get behind.

Parsons came on early and he led the line really well. His link up play was excellent and provided a good assist for the 2nd goal. Gravata was always busy and Dawes again looked a very good player at this level. Echo the comments of others - very good all round display.

Re: V Hemel H

Very good from start to finish, so refreshing.  Harry Parsons seized his chance and could have had two or three, but denied by a very good goalkeeper and remarkably both posts - that seemed to defy physics. Everyone played their part but I will mention Andrews who, for me, had his best game to date.
Well done all!

Re: V Hemel H

Agree with all of the above. Excellent performance and excellent result. HH seemed to lose the plot after going behind (shocking tackle for the sending off), it shows the importance of scoring first. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Re: V Hemel H

Somewhat unaccustomed to posting when Bluebirds win.
Went today more out of curiosity and  I was pleasantly surprised. Only criticism is that they should have scored more. Lovely afternoon watching the performance of the season. I predict a comfortable mid  table finish. Might have to come back based on that.

Re: V Hemel H

Great to see so many smiley faces during and after the game. Best performance by a mile today, dominated from start to finish. Was worried we would sit back for the second half but we kept going forward. All we want is to be entertained 😁

Re: V Hemel H

It was the performance that had been coming for a few weeks now. Hemel could have easily let 5 or 6 in without their goalkeeper making a couple of really good saves and some really unlucky moments inparticularly Harry Parsons in the first half. Defensively pretty secure as well and always nice to keep a clean sheet. They got frustrated as the petulant red card proved, it seemed to be a rather humbling afternoon for the visitors.I can see this game being a potential turning point for an upward turn in events. Some very winnable games coming up and this could be a big few weeks in story of the season.

On another note was a nice feel about the ground on Saturday, loud and proud. The small handful behind the goal making a real difference even though there are only a few of them. This is despite them being seemingly outcasted by the board and that is an opinion other supporters I spoke to in the bar had, upon seeing them have to have the indignity of having to beg other supporters to have to buy them drinks having been banned from the bar indefinitely but allowed to drink outside, still want their money it seems but make them stay outside like pets. It's like the club are trying to force them out when they are the ones who make an effort to create an atmosphere for the team. I hope after the weekend they may re-consider this decision.

I have been critical of the stewards in the past but it seems some new faces in the stewarding team and they are a big improvement and a lot more welcoming and helpful than some of their predecessors.
