Exciting game. Even though Torquay rightly reduced to 10 men and we equalised shortly afterwards, they then had 3 chances that on another day would have gone in. I think they will feel they still could have had 3 points and maybe deserved them. We just seem to lack a bit of vision, confidence and quality in attack. So many nearly excellent passing moves let down by poor execution and lack of communication meant we couldn't find the crucial winner

Crazy game, great entertainment and just about a deserved point. We certainly had the better of the ball but Torquay had the better chances and it required some great last ditch goalkeeping and defending to deny them on a few occasions. Not a surprise it became very chaotic at the back, regardless of them being a man down, with both our centre backs off injured and Spokes having to fill in. Still feel we maybe could've nicked it but imagine Torquay will be wondering how they didn't take one of those chances.
Spokes man of the match for me for another quality midfield performance and then a good job filling in at centre back- Closely ran by Will King who I think had his best game I've seen today.
Mildly disappointing attendance but I suppose understandable with the conditions. Havant on Saturday an important game- whilst results have been generally OK we are yet to win a league game this year and haven't won a league game at home since November... surely home to second bottom of the league is a good place to start.

Proper game of football.Conditions made things unpredictable and the game was all the better for it. Equaliser came from pinning them back immediately after the sending off and players attacking the penalty box which was good to see. They were unlucky with their second late chance which seemed to hit the bar and get slightly held up in a boggy goalmouth, but draw definitely a fair result and a decent performance from us. Enjoyable match.
Despite the weather and it being a Tuesday night in January - was slightly surprised at the crowd figure only being 651. Can't see the attendance being any better when Havant visit on Saturday.
Echo thoughts on Will King - getting a good run in centre midfield and was excellent. Be interesting to see if any movement player wise with the centre back situation if we have three out injured for the weekend. Although Spokes done well filling in there, imagine the ideal would be to have a specialist in position on Saturday.

Forget tactics and performances. That was a proper game. Enjoyed that.
Very worried on how our defence looks going forward all be it Dan and Aaron both walked off ok so hopefully not too bad.

Agree about Spokes. He was superb and nearly scored from his corner. Possibly the only save their keeper needed to make

Congratulations to both sides on serving up such an entertaining game on a such a dreadful night weather-wise. Both sides wanted to win it and nearly did. Round about the time of our equaliser, but before the sending off, we had upped our tempo and intensity, and really looked as though we knew we were going to get back into it, despite the loss of two key CBs. Can't argue with Freddie's MotM; he seems to do most of the marshalling of the backline... talking and cajoling constantly, when he's not raiding high up the pitch. That said, my compadre and I both thought Luke Spokes to be the best player on the pitch last night. He produced the pass of the night - a long one- down the right channel for TOE ( I think) to run onto and cut back from the by-line. Will King offered some Russe-like combative ball-winning, exactly what we need in midfield... and Fas and Tyreke who were really well policed in the first half, enjoyed more space and opportunity in the second. Caine and Fas both missed golden chances, just as Torquay did. I think we did well against a fully professional unit and now there's another one heading TSS-wards on Saturday, albeit in far worse shape.... just the sort of side who "do one" on us at Home . Perhaps we can buck that trend? Just hope the back line is up to some sort of strength. Dan Ellison didn't look at all happy as he passed us. No doubt we'll hear more in the next 48 hours.

Looking at the Torquay forum and Twitter channels, there is quite a bit of unhappiness with Gary Johnson. At 68 years of age and well over a thousand games as a manager mainly at a higher level, he must love the game to keep going. Wonder if the full time model will be sustainable for them if they don't go up.
On the Chippenham injury front - can only assume Mehew is struggling with injury at the moment as well.

Was mentioned in Gary's post-Aveley interview that they're hoping he's back for Havant
