Re: F.A.Trophy v Bromley

Without knowing the injury situation, as disappointing and safe lineup..
3 most creative midfielders in Mehew, TOE and Bradbury on the bench.

Re: F.A.Trophy v Bromley

First half we struggled and on reflection 1 nil probably flattered us.
Second half was a different story and after equalising we deserved at least at draw after the 90 mins.
Pens obviously always a lottery but the support was superb and whilst a little deflated an enjoyable away day

Re: F.A.Trophy v Bromley

Looked like our plan was to make sure we were still in it at half time then go for it in the second. If so, we executed it flawlessly.

We gave it a real good go away to the second best side in the competition, and after Chesterfield played the kids, the highest ranked team remaining.

Can’t be disheartened with that, and an away end of 82 certainly gave their all as well. Memorable day, if with a slight tinge of what might have been.

Re: F.A.Trophy v Bromley

Shame not able to join the likes of  lesser lights Hendon and Coalville in a open next stage but Pens are Pens - some you win, some you lose.

1st half Bromley worked a nicely taken goal and had the majority of possession. We sat deep, sat off them, were limited going forward - not looking like scoring. The sideways pass from both sides was king to be honest. At half time the one positive was to still be in the game at 0-1 as Bromley looked like they could go up a gear in the final third.

2nd half - a complete change. the handbrake was released as they say and we were positive and had more drive in our attacking play. Freddie Grant and Tyreke Johnson linked up really well on the left and caused Bromley some problems and when Fas equalised, it was well deserved.

Really good Chippenham support there. Think it surprised the hi-vis special security brigade who welcomed us as only one turnstile (the smallest i have ever come across) was open. All in all despite the penalty defeat - a good away trip.

Re: F.A.Trophy v Bromley

Well I’ve had a night to recover from the coach journey and the spoofing (coach joke, you had to be there!).
Reflections- brilliant away support, put the home supporters to shame!
Great second half! Our No 5 was a stand out player and much better than CS!
What was that back pass about? Henry to the rescue!
Thought we’d scored from one of our corners!
Penalties- it was clear they’d practiced theirs; we hadn’t. Henry had no chance with any of theirs! We rushed all of ours!
Well back to being a ‘mid table’ side!
