Good result and we could have been 3 up at halftime. In fact if we had needed to  win this one the 0 0 at the break would have been a concern as Totton were starting to make a game of it - fortunately Kite's goal totally destroyed Totton and they fell apart.
Good as our play and result is we should remember that this is the 3rd consecutive match that Totton have conceded 5 goals and Saturday will be a sterner test albeit that Stourbridge may well rest players in advance of the play offs.
Joe Mclennans goal was I am afraid not his but was a clear own goal but he deserved to get one based on his excellent performance. Guthrie drew an excellent save from the very good Totton keeper with a long range effort - the keeper must be losing sleep as he did nothing wrong but had to pick 5 out of his net for the 3rd game in a row.
Totton must now be bottom of the form table which is why we need to stay realistic whilst enjoying our current good form

Re: AFC Totton v Chippenham Town

Another good result. Absolutely gutted I couldn't travel! Currently 4th in the form table. Two clean sheets on the bounce is great for Johnsey. Hopefully get something out of Stourbridge on Saturday and finish 14th. Onwards and upwards for next year!

Re: AFC Totton v Chippenham Town

We shouldn't get carried away with the result as to be honest Totton were woeful and I think we would even have beaten them in our winless run. They had a few young kids playing and although having 5 subs they were all kids. But having said that you still have to work and earn your win and a wins a win. But at least we played as a team and everyone played well.
Interesting tactic by management team regarding subs. Subs were Shane Blackmore, Ben ( sorry can't remember his surname but played before), Fey and Rudge. Both Fey and Rudge weren't wearing the team kit so I presume had no intention of coming on. Even when Shane and Ben came on neither changed into the proper kit so I assume if an injury occured they would have been happy to play with 10 men.

don't know however he "tweeted" (god I hate that term - nearly as much as the mangled "texted") his congratulations to his team mates. Suspect option 1 or 2 most likely as we were extremely stretched in respect of player availability.
