    New signing

    Getting away from Reg’s predictions for a minute.
    We’ve signed Ed Williams on dual registration from Hartpury College.
    Looks like a good signing, Ex Cheltenham, Gloucester and Kidderminster Harrier.
    Gloucester forum rates him and also put out that he’s come here.

    Wow. Great signing. Also a first teamer at Doncaster and Rochester New York in America.

    Thanks BLueBird5 - I’ve just Googled the guy and he sounds very similar to Luke Russe, and at 5ft 7 inches tall I understand he comes to us very highly recommended. Just spoken to my cousin who is a Gloucester City fan, and he remembers Ed as a ‘box to box’ player with an eye for goals. Any idea how long he has signed for ?

    Really pleased with this news.  Was contemplating, when Will Henry stayed down injured for a while on Tuesday, where else we would be really struggling for like-for-like cover in the event of injury and Luke Russe was the obvious  name to come to mind.  We would be sorely exposed in the middle of the field if, God help us, he was out of action. Ed Williams sounds as if he might just be the terrier we need. If his distribution and final ball are good... even better.

    A creative, attacking midfielder/wide player.

    Could not be further from a Luke Russe type but a great signing.
