Re: Welling

Finished 5-0 what’s the bet Concord sack their manager just before they play us and have the new manager effect. This season is beginning to remind me of the Southern League season when the top 13 went into the newly formed National South and we finished second bottom after being 5th the previous year. The re organization was delayed 12 months because the Isthmian tried to stop it. Now we have a delayed 4 down! After finishing 7th last year.

Re: Welling

Competitive game and even throughout although Welling had some good chances in the first half. We played some nice football at times.

Stood up well to their relentless long balls although a couple struggled at times.

How they didn’t go down to 10 men is beyond belief. The most stone wall deliberate elbow you will ever see.

Shocked Hanks and McClure didn’t come on.

Re: Welling

Can certainly see why they are top of the naughty list in the National League South disciplinary charts! 9 reds before this game and how they didn’t add to that today was beyond me. Reckless and dangerous tackles from whistle to whistle and a blatant elbow seen by all except the referee who seemed fairly reluctant to anger the manager who he seemed petrified to face coming down the tunnel at half time. A well worked goal and did very well to stand up to the barrage first half created by direct football with big physical players. Always looked suspect with a 1 goal lead however that’s probably more through nerves and importance of the points at the moment. Reflectively thinking however, I’ve seen more than enough in these last 4 games to see we will be alright. Every team has their run in this league, last season ours took us into the playoffs, this season it’ll push us to mid table but make no mistake, some big games next week. Fans, players, management we all need to come together to make the TS a fortress!!

PS assuming McClure and Hanks both nursing knocks from Tuesday, they were both substituted Tuesday night against Hemel

Re: Welling

It's another decent point away from home.

"If you can't win then make sure you don't lose". Always good to get a point on the road.

We go to Tuesday at home vs Worthing who I'd only just seen are bloody 5th, good season for them but lets derail them, we're capable, we nullified a top-of-the-table Ebbsfleet.

Let's get behind the lads, they deserve it, hard work and effort from everyone. We certainly have more than enough to stay in this division.

Re: Welling

Another point to safety, Concord have already taken up one of the four places. Good to see the Voice on here at last, and as he says mid table will be our destination.

How can you say concord have taken one of the places, they are only 2 points behind with a game in hand.
