Well that was just bizarre from start to finish. Did we have a back 4 or 3 to start with? Either way it clearly didn't work. Ironically scorelines like this may improve attendances!

I’m not sure formation had much to do with it. When your defender falls over his own feet under no pressure (second goal) then you are in big trouble.

I look at the core of this team and it’s very much the old managers side  - Hanks, Russe, Hamilton, Santos, Richards. Even Eddie Jones is a throwback to it. Inconsistent players who have aged. Does need a clear out I think. Question is, what is out there that’s better and within budget?

Bad performances happen, we were rubbish, got a point and moved up the table.

I don’t really understand what you are saying. Are you saying the names mentioned need to be cleared out ?..

Re: Cheshunt

At least Gary saw the game the same as we did and didn't try to sugar coat it

Re: Cheshunt

Why did Will Tizzard not start, unfathomable decision, unless he was carrying an injury. Our back 4 were abysmal, and cannot understand why we are starting Alfie, all he wants to do is beat himself, and end up losing the ball. When Fasanmade came on made a big difference. McClure and Caine played well. We were very lucky to get a very dubious penalty in last minute.  Onwards and upwards.

My guess - we're playing Saturday, Tuesday most of the season now and Gary is resting some players here and there? Our captain should have be a more than adequate replacement

Re: Cheshunt

Next two games very important as midweek and Saturday sees teams in bottom six playing each other so somebody is going to pick up points.

Re: Cheshunt

Will - every game now until the end of the season is going to be a six pointer, and that debacle yesterday did not inspire me one bit that we are going to stay in this league. We have no physicality or real quality as such, and that is what really concerns me. We must be the shortest squad in the league, and I know big lads cost money, but surely Horgs must realise this. With his contacts in the game you would think he could find players of this stature. Thinking ahead what are your thoughts on who we should keep, and who we should move on, assuming we manage to stay in this league ?

I don’t think I’ve seen one “tall team” this season - football at this level is no longer about hitting it long to the big man
