    Pitch inspection planned before Worthing game

    Club have announced that there will be a pitch inspection before tomorrows game against Worthing.

    I believe Chippenham has been having sub-zero temperatures.

    I don’t wish to sound pessimistic, but we are due sub-zero temperatures this evening ! Not sure what time the inspection is planned for, but the club needs to factor in travelling time for Worthing. It is well documented that at this time of year, the sun does not get to that area under the main stand. Me thinks not looking hopeful 😥

    Hampton v Tonbridge and Dartford v Taunton already called off.

    What time is inspection? If no later than half 10 then surely will get called off

    Today's game has just been called off according to website.

    Having just been out walking the dog I would have been surprised if it had been playable. No way the area in shadow of the stands will thaw out even if the sun burns through the fog

    The Corsham pitch is in a field basically ie. no stands casting any shadow on the pitch so it’s had the chance to thaw during the days.  Ironically it’s currently very foggy in Corsham so that’ll need to lift in the next couple of hours.
