What are we thinking then?
Pitch inspection planned for tomorrow morning, cold temps expected tonight in Chippenham?

I’ll be surprised if a ball is kicked tomorrow.

If the inspection was at 3pm there might be a reasonable chance of play given the TSS gets a lot of sunlight. But an earliy-ish a.m inspection will surely deem it too hard. The sun doesn't really start working on melting frost until about 10.30 Perhaps the inspection considers how the pitch might be playing at 3 pm? Does anyone know? Whatever the outcome, we obviously have to be fair to everyone, particularly to Ebbsfleet whose journey is unenviable at the best of times!

Welling has been called off already due to a frozen pitch. I thought the National League wouldn’t let clubs postpone until the day of the match. Conditions at the TSS are not going to change much by tomorrow given the current below zero temperature.

The problem is often that only part of the pitch gets the sun and the whole of the playing surface needs to be deemed safe. Could be yet another home game stacking up in the new year.
