Completely outclassed first half by a very good team, and they didn’t need to move out of second gear to see out the second half. A few passengers for us tonight I’m afraid.
What’s the story with Jordan Young’s injury?

I was with a friend tonight who asked me to not to be so negative.
Well my mum & dad bought me a season ticket for my birthday. It would be very disrespectful to them not to go to the games….so it looks like I’m here for the long haul!

Has to be said, Havant are a quality football team. Maybe I’m naïve but I still have this overriding sense of “we’ll be alright”
We’ve still got 2/3 of the season to play and once the (welcome) distraction of the FA Cup is out the way, we can go in to games with clear heads. It’s always going to be in the heads of semi-professional footballers that they want to protect themselves for those bigger games, it’s human nature.
I just can’t see the chairman allowing this club to sleepwalk into a relegation battle. We’re a mid table team and once Fasanmade and Young are back to full fitness (good to see the former back tonight), I think we’ll be a threat once again.

As stated several times on here of course the Chairman won't allow relegation, facts are, we must be financially in the black, already have a strong squad, due to finances we can strengthen again so no concerns about relegation for me.

Think our present squad IF fit is good enough to pull us away from relegation zone, problem is you cannot know if that will be the case. Recruitment may be a problem. When Trowbridge Town we’re the Bees knees (excuse pun) when they were in the Southern League then Conference, they were always pinching players from us and the other local sides. That talent doesn’t appear to be there, how many players have we signed from Melksham, Westbury, Devizes etcetera In the last six years? Conversely there are no National League clubs in our area from whom we might sign players who cannot quite make it at that level. Furthermore we have to compete with Bath City who have obviously at present got a bigger budget than us.

It’s hard not to be anything other than critical based on what we are watching game after game. Havant undoubtedly were a quality side but the side we put out again seemed to geared to a defensive game. One forward on the pitch one on the bench and one (Greenslade) not even picked. If the idea was to seek a goal then hold on it clearly didn’t work. With that lineup as soon as we went behind pretty much knew game over. If l recall it correctly l don’t think their keeper had a save to make. In fact his night consisted of goal kicks and back passes. Even most of our corners didn’t reach the 6 yard box.
We have now played 17 league games and have failed to score in about half of them. That stat and our league position says it all really. We can only hope that when Jordan Young returns it will bring some creativity to the team and hopefully with a fully fit squad a more adventurous approach. If we continue with current way of playing only means a relegation battle. Don’t know what ambitions are for the trophy but why not, away from the cup and league,go for it and try an attacking game. More than one front player on the pitch at the start what a thought!

6 months ago ( May 7th) we ran rings around Havant on their own turf. They returned the compliment last night with a quality performance, dominating all areas of the pitch and finishing clinically. They were hunting down the 4th goal with real intent, too. This was a team with a few thoroughbreds in it, enough to put 5 past Dulwich on Saturday. We could offer little except a willingness to compete and a complete reliance on poor old Harry up front to pursue a series of speculative long passes, although he stuck to his task doggedly despite being bossed by a very efficient, well organized defence. One or two of our players looked pretty at sea positionally. The whole game was conducted in near silence, too... such was H&W's capacity to kill it off within 25minutes. As I've suggested before, The FA Cup exacts a price. It may be heresy to say that, without breaching the bounds of good sportmanship/ fair play, we should be more than "relaxed" about the FA Trophy. It just seems the wrong competition at the wrong time for us. Only when we're clear of these hugely lucrative diversions , which are ultimately draining of focus and energy, the sooner Gary H and the team get on with the business of the League and our ultimate purpose in life. As with many of the comments above, we have everything in place in the club to ensure safety. We just need to be free now to focus on it.... after we've beaten The Brewers, of course!!

I do think we'll be alright but need to be a bit more adventurous tactically! Could be a long season if we persist with one striker and everyone else in our own half!

Hopefully with Harry Parsons,Craig Fasanmade and Jordan Young all up front. Will Henry ,Will Richards and Will Tizzard at the back,we will score more and concede less and everyone will be happy. Only my take but could be pounds(£) be worth more than points at the moment

I guess it’s also a little unfair to be critical of Horgan, we’ll always have opinions on team selection without really knowing who is fully fit, tired or just unavailable.
Question is, has he been given the budget to be competitive the league?
Maybe Cook was smarter than we think and could see the writing on the wall?
Like I said before, we’ll know more come February.
