What a truly disappointing and depressing first half performance

Not sure what the visiting Burton manager would have made of that shambolic performance!
I guess the second half was a little better because we did concede

We had an experienced team out tonight, professional players, ex professional players, players with plenty of National league game appearances and one youngster, boys versus men unfortunately, no excuses not good enough. Our league form is shocking, something really needs to change soon.

Completely outplayed and yet again can not string any meaningful passes together and as soon as we are pressed we hoof the ball up and inevitably lose it. Fasanmade looked lively. Santos was well off it and has been for a while now.
MOTM Parsons worked his heart out tracking back and did all he could up front. A real gulf in quality with Havant looking a class apart really today.
Feels like the worst form we have ever been in in this league and the fixtures are only getting tougher- Weymouth in a few weeks will be huge.

They were quality, we were very very poor.
Despite probably overachieving last season we have clearly gone backwards.
Don’t want to hear excuses about budget etc… as we beat some big teams last season (Dartford, Dorking, Havant) and have only really lost 2 players from that squad.
I wait for, you know who, to come on here and tell us all to stop moaning we played alright ;-)

Stop moaning, we played alright ;)
No in all seriousness there are times where you have to hold your hands up. They were just better than us in every department tonight. We play for moments in games and we had a couple tonight but sadly but that point, we were well out of it due to quality from their frontmen and probably a little lack of quality in our usual standards of dealing with quality. Always knew this would be a tough ask with their form and it proved to be this evening. Big game against Hastings on Saturday, a chance to get minutes into a few before the big one against Burton. Glad their gaffer came down tonight, possibly a few complacent heads in their camp given our league form and what they’ve viewed tonight. Heads up, we go again. Tough spells don’t really last forever and I’m sure Horgs can engineer a way through this one. He’s no fool and I back him to steer us away from the bottom sooner rather than later
