Very frustrating afternoon. Made a rod for our own back with uncharacteristic mistakes from players you wouldn't usually see them from. 2-0 up and coasting after 10 minutes, definitely a penalty on Greenslade and arguably on Jordan as well as he was checked whilst in on goal. Fasanmade is a big signing, plenty of energy and allows for a proper striker in the team with Youngy and Hanksy pulling strings. The big positives are an extra gate, a very real chance to progress at home and we will know our fate come Tuesday night should they need any more motivation. A tough one to take given the level of control we had at half time but a penalty and a worldie gave Hendon much more than they deserved from the game on balance. Chances at the other end for Santos twice, Young, Tizzard and Fasanmade all could have put it to bed before the penalty drama at the end. Well done Will Henry for stepping up again to spare our blushes and stick us in the hat for the First Round Proper. Think we will have too much for them on Tuesday, comfortable 2/3-0 to the Bluebirds!

Was Will Richard’s sending off a straight red or a second yellow ? I seem to remember reading somewhere that the sending off rules have now changed, and a ban, one or three games now start with immediate effect - hope I’m wrong on that one !

Straight red for DOGSO I think. I don't think his ban will affect Tuesday. I think he will miss the Tonbridge game or possibly the Concord game, both games I am sure he will be annoyed at missing but nowhere near as much as the FA Cup fixtures! Let's load the park up Tuesday, get the lads over the line!

100% Well said Voice. Comfortable 2 or 3 nil win.

Looked totally in control first half, playing some lovely stuff going forward and not really giving them a sniff at the other end. Should have been 3 or 4 in front. Fasanmade looking like the striker we’ve been missing. Can’t comment on the Greenslade shout for a penalty but the one on Jordan would have been very soft, just went down too easily. No major protests from our players probably indicates it was the correct decision.
2nd half we were very poor in patches, had chances to pinch it but credit to Hendon they looked a lot more lively and we started too hoof it up field.
Still in the hat, that’s the main positive.
Oh and a very friendly bunch the Hendon folks were, decent bar and able to drink anywhere in the ground.

Another point to note was a 4G pitch on a slope, something I’m sure we’ll have to get used to next season.

The main thing is we are still in the cup (thanks Mr Henry). I too am confident we will be ok on Tuesday in the replay (no predictions though!) Tomorrow nights draw on BBC2 is something to look forward to, hopefully a plum home draw which in turn should boost the attendance for the replay. COYB

Typical fa cup game.Pherhaps not the result we wanted, but having given away a needless penalty,a replay is a bonus. Also a bonus you could have your flu jab at the game

With all the FA cup winnings, we can afford to have the slope removed for good, business sense surely.
