Re: Parselle.

Moving as a well loved captain from a team who finished in the playoffs to their bitter rivals who finished just above relegation is poor on his part if they are not paying him a really huge wage. Obviously huge credit for 4 years of brilliant performances though.

Agreed, the complete silence from the club on who we have retained and any new signings is concerning.

Re: Parselle.

Kiss of death this thread then. Very disappointing especially going up the A4. Wish him well but hope he comes to regret it. Equally hope this doesn't herald an exodus of other key players

Re: Parselle.

I think it would have been naive to think that all last season's small squad would have been here in August. I would expect at least two or three more will depart, but hope I'm wrong. Whoever plays it won't stop me from supporting.

Re: Parselle.

Very disappointing news. I'd have congratulated him if he'd signed for a team in a higher league, but going to Bath City sticks in the throat.

Re: Parselle.

Maybe if it’s not on our club website, it hasn’t actually happened… right guys? Right? PLEASE?!

Not a lot the club can do if a player (who is technically a free agent) posts about their next move.

I'm sure the club will annouce his departure soon.

Considering Bath had a whole reveal video and reaction interviews planned for midday launch would suggest this wasn’t just Parselle posting about his next move. It’s these small things that make a big difference, even if it is a disappointing story.

The reveal video is stomach churning.

Re: Parselle.

Just listened to Parselles interview, doesn’t sound so much as a surprise, as they wanted him last season. There average home crowd was probably more than double ours, so maybe more money.Might have been different if we had taken six points off of Bath this season, they might have been relegated and then Parselle might have thought differently. Still should make the games against Bath even more interesting. Also maybe pay back time for Chippenham  signing David Pratt from Bath. As Jimmy Greaves said Football’s a funny old game, that’s why we like it.

Re: Parselle.

Can we assume from the club’s latest statement re players that negotiations are still taking place with the rest of last season’s squad and no one else has left yet(and hopefully don’t)?
