not sure what Gary and Coupes have done differently to make us look like an exciting side again

Not too much has changed in my view, yes maybe we're creating a few more chances and actually using our bench but let's not pretend they took over a struggling side.

Re: Hungerford

Great game. Referee had zero control over proceedings and at points the game became dangerous. I'm absolutely amazed there weren't more bookings and red cards.

On to next week now in what is a great opportunity for the club to sneak into that last playoff place.

Regardless of next weeks result it has been a hugely successful league campaign. I think I'm correct in saying that we will finish 7th or 8th depending on the result which would beat our previous highest finish of 13th (first and second season in the NLS) which is remarkable.

Re: Hungerford

Agreed Lordship keep on. This was one of the best games I've seen in nearly 20 years regularly watching. If Horgan doesn't get the manager's job if he wants it whatever happens next weekend, then I will be ashamed.

I don't like to criticize the refs but truly dreadful today

Re: Hungerford

I totally agree with Newfan that Horgs, assisted by Coupes, thoroughly deserve the opportunity to manage the Bluebirds, assuming they want it. In my opinion we are 3 players short of having a team capable of competing for top slot. A big frontman for Jordan to feed off, an experienced midfielder and a tall central defender to galvanise the rest of the first team - thoughts anyone ?

Re: Hungerford

Great entertainment and a game that must have inspired all the young kids behind the goal - they’ll want to come back, that’s what it’s all about.
Reg must be a fun night out - His Lordship’s musings are the best thing on here.

Re: Hungerford

The atmosphere in the second half was the best we’ve had for a long time. The lads deserve a good turnout from us on Saturday.

The dark arts employed by Hungerford was shameful. Especially their number 22 and 14.

Who would of thought it, we’ll finish higher than 13th! Can’t wait for Saturday.

Re: Hungerford

Well done to all. Hungerford came to spoil and got away with far more than they should have done thanks to the pathetic officials. Great atmosphere, great team spirit and great finish!

Re: Hungerford

One of, if not the best game of the season played out in front of 841 supporters and that is an amazing feeling! With it being Bank Holiday and the last game for a while at the TS Stadium, it was to be expected but every single one of you to a person were brilliant inside that ground today! The fact people were coming to me afterwards that were strangers mere weeks ago and season ticket holders by the time they left today speaks volumes. It would be amazing to see as many back as possible for next season as we continue to build and who knows, it might even be in a different league ;) The dream continues! As for the other stuff to unpack. Yes, the ref was poor, hard team to officiate Hungerford with their way of doing things but ultimately no big decision that swayed the game either way, Reginald74 you need to cheer up a bit lad, be happy, you are allowed, His Lordship, please keep posting, I love your posts and can't wait to see you Wednesday for a good chat (hopefully many join you in the Blues Bar) And most importantly, I hope to see as many of you down at Havant and back at the Blues Bar Saturday to celebrate an amazing season, a brilliant group and a wonderful club! Well done all!

Re: Hungerford

There’s something about this group of players that just seems to get it. From the academy lads, right through to the loanees: they play for each other and they fight for the shirt.

The last few weeks, Horgs and Coupe have maybe proven themselves to be that missing piece that was needed to connect this team with the fans.

Given the size of our club with our small budget compared to those both above and below us, to be in with a shot of a play off spot with one game to go is just remarkable.

Congrats to the skipper on winning Supporters POTS,  certainly was one of many fine candidates this season. Not being able to make home games meant I was unable to vote, but my ballot would have been for Luke Russe, someone I feel often goes under the radar. 7/10 minimum each week, covers every blade of grass, enjoys playing for us and this season has added goals to his game.

Onto Havant and who knows what afterwards… UP THE CHIPP
