Re: Playing bottom half teams

Academy boys
A lot of these boys/men are under contract to Chippenham, if we don't start playing them soon we will lose them, other clubs will see there protential and we will end up coming up against them.
We all need to consider a lot of these boys nearly made it and where only released from the likes of Swindon, Forest Green, Swansea and Bristol city.
So to say they lack experience is utter rubbish.
If you watch the U23's you will see how much passion and pride they play with, be really nice to see the first team coaching staff show there face see what they are missing out on.
Now is the time to bed a few in, before it's to late and we lose them for good.
Rant over.

Re: Playing bottom half teams

Yes we have overachieved this season but if we had won two of the many games we've lost against those at the bottom we'd be very much in the playoff hunt. Against the teams chasing promotion we've only really been outclassed once so you'd feel we'd have a decent chance.

We've also done especially well lately with a thin squad but it shows a lack of trust in the kids that they barely get ten minutes off the bench. Perhaps a few more should go out on loan given the u23 team cruises most fixtures in their league.

Re: Playing bottom half teams

Harry Warwick released and Dan Griffiths out on loan until the end of the season, both presumably to free-up cash and bring in the players MC was hoping to get last week, but didn't.

Think you will find that the academy have a lot of boys out on loan at the moment, they are still managing to do very well in the league, just shows the strength and depth in the academy.
