Sadly I can also field your question regarding numbers decreasing not just addition. Sadly the impact of COVID has really negatively impacted football at the lower level. If you speak to most clubs around our league, they too have seen a few stay aways because of the fear of COVID spreading, sadly it's just something we cannot avoid.

I thought that too initially but it does appear if anything many club have seen an increase in attendances post covid (https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/national-league-south/attendances). Yes, you could argue there's more bigger clubs than three seasons ago, but concerning to see us in the bottom four attendance wise when we were mid table during the last full season.

Re: Dartford and Blessings..

You have to consider perspective. With an older fan base our decrease in numbers due to Covid is likely a safety precaution. I would argue the only thing we as a club haven’t done in respect of that is either replace the elderly stay always with younger supporters or do anything to entice them back with additional measures which would at this stage be beyond reasonable action. So the next step is to get new blood. Like a team on the field occasionally is in need of new faces to drive it forward, so too the club requires them off the field! Big efforts are to be expended in order to do this very shortly I assure you!

Re: Dartford and Blessings..

Chippenham is close to Swindon and there has always been a drop in attendances when the Robins are doing well, as they are under their new regime. There are many Chippenham supporters who also support Swindon and vice-versa, and when over 11000 crowd into the County ground on the same afternoon as we play at home gates will always be down. In the past, requests for away fixtures when Swindon are at home has sadly fallen on deaf ears, and I’m sure similar requests have, or would be met in the same way, whatever league we play in.

Re: Dartford and Blessings..

We've got 4 home fixtures left this season and 2 of those clash with STFC home games.
