So sorry to hear that ex Chippenham Town player, captain and legend, passed away yesterday.
Taken far too early!
RIP Mono!

This is the worst news ever. I used to work with Ian (Mono) back in the 80’s what was then Westinghouse Signals, and Ian along with Arthur Wimbledon (RIP) introduced me to CTFC. I’ve not logged on the Forum for a while, and could not believe this post earlier today. So I called a few ex colleagues and apparently Ian was on holiday with his wife in the Maldives, he felt unwell and sadly passed away. Mono was one the finest central defenders back in our Western League days. I hope the club acknowledges his passing with minutes silence before the Concord game this Saturday - rest in peace my dear old friend.

This is very sad news. I knew Mono at school and played in the same youth team as him in 1973/74, Sheldon Youth. I remember him as a polished Centre back and a big Spurs fan. Taken from us far too early. RIP Mono.

Disappointed there was no minute silence yesterday. Hopefully this can be rectified at the next home game.

I believe this is being planned for the next home game DB. Melksham did their tribute yesterday.
A tragic loss of a real character and true Chippenham legend.

Thanks Insideleft.
On the ball as usual.
