I’m not Cook out but certainly still not sold on him and his ways.
Our second, third and fourth goal were brilliant today. Second half wasn’t great and Slough seemed on top, big penalty save from Will Henry and then we go up the other end and score a fifth to kill it after their red card.
It looks like Dan Griffiths has had a splendid Christmas while suspended. Can we get him some bigger shorts? I find it tough to take that he earns money from paying supporters in that physical condition. Small, slow and overweight.
Well done to the team today.Just out of interest, what's your fighting weight?

Where are the "Cook out" brigade? Always very quiet when we win.
Focus on the game fella and great performance not that axe you’ve got to grind.
I've not got an axe to grind, all I'm asking is to leave the manager and the individual members of the team to do their best, win or lose, and not berate them when the things don't go the way we want.

Do you think it’s acceptable at this level of Football to have overweight players? I presume he is being paid and therefore it’s an issue for paying supporters as he can’t do his job very well.
I can’t think of any other teams at this level with overweight players that are 20 years old.

We could be top of the league and some people would still moan

I thought Griffiths played as well as as I have seen and didn't look any 'chunkier' than before Xmas. Great performance all round again apart from a couple of uncharacteristic mistakes from Will Richards one of which cost the goal - after those he rarely did anything at all wrong. The 2 new loans were excellent and looked like a comfortable fit in the team already. I feel we always play better down the slope in the first half and so I had good vibes from the off. What is frustrating is why we can play like this, expansive fluent passing football with forward momentum and threatening movement from multiple players, and then on other games sit too deep inviting pressure with aimless thumps upfield the only relief. The tactics come from the coaches I assume? Or do other teams do their homework sometimes better than we do?

Very good performance from the boys today , new loans looked quality along with Ricky . Jordan young has always had quality and being a Chippenham boy was pleased to see him at the club . Great team performance all round . Expected slough to come out fighting after the rocket they would of got at halftime, we done well to ride it out and a good penalty save helped . Then the boys controlled the game and tempo and we need to do more of that . .
after the sending off we opened them up with keeping the ball and creating space . Don’t understand again some of the comments on here calling out individuals. Why ? . I don’t think Dan griffiths is any in different in size to how he has always been and some of the slough boys were also stocky . This league is so unpredictable, with probably the exception of ebbsfleet I think anyone can beat anyone . So great win boys ! . Points in the bag are better than games in hand . Let’s hope we can make the playoffs. Long long way to go with a lot of ups and downs to come

Well that was an excellent game of football, we played well, and the the two new signings(loans) were sheer class, especially Harrison at centre back, he oozed class and was very cool and confident in all aspects of his play. It appeared the big difference was that we shot on sight and thankfully most ended up in the net. Jordan first goal was probably the goal of the season so far. Well done the CTFC.

Agree with much of what has been posted. We always seem to have entertaining games with Slough, this one obviously no exception! To be fair to Slough I thought they gave it a real good go after half time, and probably on the type of surface they don't play on very often. Someone mentioned two 'uncharacteristic mistakes' by Will Richards. True, and one led to their goal, but even if he has to play full back rather than in the middle he would still be one of the first names on the team sheet for me.
Lets all enjoy the result (has anyone found the last time we got 6 in a league game?) and see where this takes us in the coming weeks and months. Well done to all.

I want to say…
25th August 2009: Chippenham Town 6-1 Hemel Hempstead
(Scorers: Jon Davies, Shaun Lamb x2, Ross Adams, Lewis Powell, Shaun Benison)
