That’s very true Regi. But we had to start somewhere. And it couldn’t have got much worse. But credit where credit’s due. 😎

Vast improvement, forwards looked mobile, plenty of movement in midfield, started to pass the ball and create space.Didn’t rate Billericay at all.Saying that you can only beat what is in front of you.Hopefully word will get round that we can play attractive football, but I suppose it depends how long we can keep the loan players. Also nice to hear home fans chanting but please not the sheldon end is full of s**t .Personally I think it is an insult to the away supporters who deserve better.
Totally agree oldman. I'm sure we wouldn't like it when we're away and the home fans sang that towards us.

Away fans don't know what "Sheldon end" is anyway

I'm sure they don't, but It's obvious It's aimed at them.

Good result, I know it’s first win in nine, but nice to finally back up a solid away performance with a win at home.
Hopefully a few of the floating fans that came due to the international break will be suitably impressed enough to make another visit.
Must say Luke Russe spoke remarkably well in his post match interview and is someone who should be looked up to by our younger academy lads.

Of course, we won't get carried away but... That was the performance so many of us were waiting for at home! 3 goals, a clean sheet, a great performance and most importantly 3 points. After the first 20 minutes I felt Billericay were displaying no signs of being a team lingering at the foot of the table and actually thought we would struggle to break down what looked a fairly decent side, and then they got found out. Aguiar looks like some player at the moment, another goal from him sent us on the way and we never looked like straying off that path for the rest of the day. The players in on loan looked good, Cam worked hard, Zain was displaying some good stuff before his unfortunate withdrawal, Harry Parsons, looked like lively when he was introduced and Callum Rowe looks like a complete class act! All fairly versatile lads as well so the squad is looking like it's really taking shape. The performance was the real encouragement. We looked much more able to keep the ball and move through the phases instead of looking for that constant long ball outlet without losing the ability to play that killer pass from the back that has on occasion worked in our favour. The best thing however is the atmosphere around the ground during and after a game like that. During the game, to hear the home fans singing and chanting again was lovely, it adds to the experience of matchdays and regardless of a few people's opinion on the chants used, I am certain that any away supporter will see it as light hearted banter if they ever paid attention as well and most vocal supporters actually enjoy that level of banter during games, it becomes again another real addition to the day for away supporters and the comments after from Billericay supporters stating how much they enjoyed their day here despite the result is the only proof we need of that! After the game to see the players smiling, celebrating with home fans, drinking their fill and enjoying 3 hard earned points was amazing! The celebrations at the end and after the 3rd goal, to quote Luke Russe "We've been waiting 3 seasons for that moment" Long may these times continue. A tricky game on the road this weekend against Maidstone before the FA Trophy the week after, here is hoping for a home tie, a nice draw and another big performance in front of the Blue Army! Well done everyone from the Chairman right down, a great advert Saturday of what Chippenham Town are aspiring to be!
