General observations. Keep reading comments about budgets. How does anyone know what another clubs budget is. The full time clubs would obviously have bigger budgets but what about teams like Hemel? Perhaps last night we were beaten by a better team and not by a club with a higher budget. Individually I didn’t think Hemel were better than us they just played as a team where we just looked like 11 individuals and not a team. The number of times a Chippenham player had the ball and no support resulting in thumping the ball as high and as far as they could giving it straight back to the opposition. No width too many players behind the ball so no wonder the defence is under constant pressure. Another observation about last night. The manager talked about bringing in academy players. So why did we only have 4 subs last night.why wasn’t an academy player on the bench? Maybe the ones who are registered were all injured!,!, But given so little is communicated about players on the website who knows. Players just appear with no info and seem to disappear in the same way ie Myrie -Williams on the bench for loads of games now nothing. I think his name is Keeley appears for one game then nothing. And where did Steve Bayeke come from? Don’t recall any info appearing on club’s website

Not the best of results, but I thought there was glimmers of hope in the second -half.At least we scored a goal from open play.On the plus side public announcement system was excellent, the announcer was full of enthusiasm, perhaps he should give the team talks. Also just heard on Wiltshire radio Mike Cook is looking at a forward and midfield player.

Well not the performance or the result that we all wanted. We were very disappointing for the first 77 minutes. We didn’t start fast and impose our selves on the opposition, who were obviously low on confidence. Instead it was Hemel who took the game to us and dictated the pace of the game.As the majority have already said we lacked control and some of the passing was really poor. Once Hemel went 2-1 up it was like a light switch went on. Suddenly all 11 players seemed up for it. Some of the play going down the slope was like the old days with wave after wave of attacks. But for there goalkeeper who pulled off 3-4 stunning saves we would have won the game. Some how Mike needs to bottle that last 15 minutes and reproduce it over longer periods.I’m sure if we did we would blow teams like Hemel away.
But that is easier said than done. We need to set the pace in games as we used to. Some how Mike needs to get the whole side up right from the start. If that happens I’m sure we will be strong enough to beat Braintree on Saturday.
Good Luke Mike and the lads. I feel it’s a must win game.
Cum on you bluebirds. 😎

Yes it was good to hear the stadium announcer (Simon) do a good job on the tannoy, at least we could hear him and very articulate, well done. As for the game, well, we played well for the last 10 minutes, but it appeared that a few players were not interested, and get some new players bought in.

Aaagh! Forgot to mention, a others are doing, the refreshing energy and clarity of the new PA announcer. Also amazingly quick on goal scorer attribution! Close to being psychic on their second goal, so fast was the scorer named!! More on Saturday.... of the energy and clarity, I mean ....... NOT announcing their goal scorers!!

And the board still wants us to pay to watch rubbish like that, well that's the last game for me.

Another poor home performance. I refer to the performance more than the result. Yet again (apart from the well documented 5 minutes near the end) it was the away team trying to play attractive, attacking football rather than the home team. The same old failing home tactics game after game. Don't our management/coaching team realise that, or do we just not have the players to change the system? Either way is worrying and frustrating.

There is enough of them coaching staff that is.

Anyone know what the attendance was Tuesday?

I take it the club have decided that if they do not announce details then the locals cannot comment.
