    Poole 1 - 1 CTFC

    Not the greatest of games,  but still in the draw.

    Nice to catch up with a few CTFC at the game today.

    In  the draw still by the skin of our teeth. We were very poor 1st half, Poole could have been 3 up. A little better in the second but in truth Will Henry gave an excellent goalkeeping display to keep us in the tie. Our goal was within seconds of  a unbelievable denial of a clear penalty in our favour.
    We need to perform much better on Tuesday if we want to progress.

    I see that Frome, Southern League Div. 1 South, beat Oxford City from our League. Great result!…hope we don’t get them in the next round…assuming that we win the replay on Tuesday, of course!

    A very good draw at this stage of the FA Cup. Especially with a home draw.  They play in the Isthmian League South East and sit in 6 place.  A decent side to be respected but one were well capable of beating. Now we have got to beat Poole Town. Tricky but again doable.  They gave us a second chance on Saturday. We need to take it. 😎😀. Good luck Mike and the team. And all the lads. Let’s get at em from the first whistle.  Come on you Bluebirds.

    Definitely a good 3rd round draw, can't ask for more than a home fixture, but we have to get past Poole first. We have  made hard work of these types of games in the past, hopefully tomorrow we can start better and put them under pressure from the word go. Looking forward to it tomorrow, hopefully a better crowd than the last home game.  FA Cup game under the lights, can't wait!
