My first game of 2021, last in the ground for a real live game Boxing Day 2020.
Lively and entertaining game, first blood to us very early on but swiftly back to 1-1. Eastleigh came out for second half with much more purpose and quickly pressurised us into an own goal, but towards the later stages we were more than holding our own and grabbed one back with a very well taken striker's goal. But for a fantastic save from their keeper we could have won this, but a fair result.
Will Richards looked like he never left us, Santos looks like a real find as did whoever no.3 was playing at left back

Agree with everything new fan said.We looked a real danger in attack, especially down the right flank. The Number3 going forward was a joy to watch. For a friendly everyone went toe to toe, certainly worth watching.Hopefully more of the same to come.

What a good performance, actually thought Eastleigh were rather fortunate to hold us and their media team confirmed at the end of the game that they had a very strong squad there that evening and both halves were made up of more than a few of the players that will be starting their first game in the National League this campaign so we really set the bar high with that performance. Torquay will be looking to put a strong side out on Saturday as well with a reduced Pre-Season due to their playoff exploits so we could conceivably be playing the best side in Non League football on their own patch Saturday. Any degree of performance or result there and I truly think the buzz will be around the place for what we might be able to achieve this year. One thing is certain, we look to have the strongest squad I can remember for a long time

The trialist number 3 has agreed a deal according to bbc wiltshire sport on twitter- Vinny Harper, ex Bristol City youngster, really highly rated by Gloucester fans. Was incredible v Eastleigh so if made official looks a great signing. Also signing is Jennison Myrie-Williams, lots of experience playing for league clubs before recently playing for Weston and Hereford.
