Re: Twerton Park

That's a bit early for a 1500 kick-off when no fans are in attendance and the grounds are about 12 miles apart.

Re: Twerton Park

Personally I like these old grounds with character like Twerton Park and the Beveree (Hampton & Richmond), although grounds like Slough Town’s are swanky and impressive they feel soulless.

Re: Twerton Park

If you're a cynic you have to suspect that they really didn't want to play this tomorrow. First a pitch inspection 5 hours before the scheduled kick-off time and then "a subsequently reported Covid-19 event at Bath City".

Re: Twerton Park

What a load of  rubbish written on this thread- particularly the one from someone who defines as  administrator.  I can appreciate that Twerton Park is past its best but let us be realstic-  HP is an adequate ground but not one where we are in a position to start rubbishing others.
As for COVID  I know someone who is late 20s who is really struggling with its effect so there may be a Bath player who is ( or may become)  quite unwell.  This virus is impacting on a lot of  NLS teams so it could be us next. Claiming they have postponed because they are scared to play us is utter rubbish. If we had beaten them 6-0 on boxing day there might have been some support for that view but it was 1-1 and our keeper was a candidate for M o M.

Re: Twerton Park

No surprise, although unlikely to go ahead due to the weather, their managers interview following the loss to Hungerford suggested he wants the season to be abandoned. Also blaming and name checking Puddy for cheating, a sign of someone under pressure!!
All is not well, rumours that he applied for the Weymouth  in the summer and was slow to recruit due to this.

The important word in your post there is "may". Don't you think it's a bit strange that they tried to have a pitch inspection 5 hours before kick-off and when the weather turned warmer, which would mean the game would go ahead, the Covid card was played? It could all be above board but I am entitled to air my doubts and you are entitled to disagree. What you're not entitled to do is to say I'm talking utter rubbish when it's obvious that what I am saying is my opinion.
