Will add links below, but need to make two posts without because of spam filter.

Re: FA Cup

I see there is a full Southern League midweek fixture list apart from Poole who miss out due to the original odd number of teams in the league. Shame, that will be to their advantage come Saturday.

Nope, us supporters of 'elite' clubs still not allowed to watch our games, not even if away to a lower club. There might be streaming in the future but not in time for tomorrow.

It’s all behind closed doors until the government says it’s safe to stand outside without getting covid but it’s ok to go to the pub

Re: FA Cup

Could do with fans to shout the lads on tomorrow. Poole have played competitive games and 100% record in league. (They had a bye in last round of FA cup as Merthyr were not allowed to play). They also have some useful players including Tony Lee who scored a cracker against us when on loan at Cirencester. Think we tied to sign him when he left Eastleigh. Perhaps fans could chant over the fence stood in HP but that’s quite an ask given the weather forecast.

Re: FA Cup

I’m sure family and friends will be HP tomorrow, stewards, ball boys, kit men, tea lady, directors, Ground staff, plus all their friends, don’t see any problem with us beating Poole. Roll on the Grant, and roll on next round.

Re: FA Cup

Great to have the internet radio coverage from Poole - well done to them for this.

Thanks to Ryan Case we nearly threw this away and thank goodness their first penalty was a miss.
The youtube footage will be worth watching - sounds like we need to be much better at holding on to games we should have sewn up
.

Re: FA Cup

Nothing to much to worry about. They came into the game having played competitively, we didn’t. Huge advantage for them. Plenty of chances to win it which is what we did.
Bath were also given a scare and required a late deflected shot to scrape through.
The signs are good.

Re: FA Cup

Very good couple of days for the club money wise, yesterday’s grant and today’s cup winnings. 1st round here we come again.
