Considering Frome WERE below us it all seems rather positive there. Singing the praises of DP. Community link with local school doing a project on FTFC. They even used the team coach to bus a class of kids in to sing throughout the match. At the end Bally went to Frome fans and kissed his badge. Meanwhile back at Ctfc Rudge's radio interview sounded like he didn't want to do one. Embarrassing pauses that were filled by Sean Hodgetts. And apparently it is all the fault of the players. It seems our management duo are as far out of their depth as a dwarf standing on the bed of the Pacific Ocean.

Which one, the England Futsal badge or the Frome Town one?

Re: Arlesey Town v Chippenham Town

Pupils from Ivy Lane School were given a peek behind the scenes at Hardenhuish Park as part of Chippenham Town and Chippenham Town Council’s School Community Initiative. On Friday, the Ivy Lane youngsters became the 12th class of schoolchildren to tour the home of the Bluebirds, each earning a medal for the day, a free ticket for the rest of the time they are at their school and a souvenir pen.

Barry Stephens, Towns football and community development co-ordinator, said “We’ve been doing this for about two years now and it’s all about showing that we’re not just a club in the town, but a part of the town and the community. They did a training session with the coaches from Stanley Park and Sandy Webb (Town Director) gave a great presentation about Wembley and the history of the club. Pete Hussey, Chippenham Town Council’s football development officer, was great at showing them around the ground and explaining everything that happens on match days”.

Re: Arlesey Town v Chippenham Town

I can only assume Rudge is still in his job at this point which is unbelievable considering he has lost the dressing room, so looking forward we have 3 games where I cant see us getting a point and potentially could send us into the bottom 2, is that when the board are going to act? when it could be too late?
30th March (4 games away) we have hitchin which could become a play off which is very concerning!

Fair point Pete I'm not knocking that aspect - BUT take a look at the link on the FROME website. Several visits to school by DP and other Frome officials and a term's work based around Frome FC. My point being for a club that is or was in a similar (or at one time worse) position than us it is all very positive and pro-active.Whereas at HP it's all doom and gloom- whilst others have their head's in the sand 'we are too good to go down' approach. Wake up and smell the coffee time. I bet Rudgie and Fey couldn't even name a local school unless it was in Bristol - not that it's important - just illustratiitive of what is happening HP at present. and in my opinion illustrates the whole position of not coping

Re: Arlesey Town v Chippenham Town

Bluebird 2006 posts  "According to Nathan's interview on BBC Wiltshire it's the fault of the players " they have all got agenda's outside football" Don't know what he means by that but given they are part time of course they all have other agenda's, it's called working for a living.
I find it amazing with the mess that we are now in the manager can publically blame the players. Must do moral a load of good. OK if it was one game then maybe you could accept it was the players fault but has our managment team forgotten it is now 15 games since we won. Everyone of those games was it the players fault we didn't win and if that was the case then something should have been done weeks ago? Sorry but the management team have had 15 games to sort things out so it's a bit rich now blaming the players. Still, listening to excuses is about the most entertaining thing at the moment and we await the next one with baited breath.
I do hope as George says that maybe it is a good time to play Cambridge but equally if they are going through a bad run they might also be thinking ideal playing a team that hasn't won for over 3 months to get back on a winning path.
And sorry to return to a big bug bear. Nothing anywhere, well that I can find, about yesterday's team. I accept that you can't put info on here until it is given to you but that can't apply to just sticking on the website the team from a game that has already been played ( although can't understand why the Gazette can have a report and not include the team).

Yet little old Frome have there own dedicated match update service (http://comeonyoureds.co.uk/) for those that cant make the game with team news as soon as it happens and very regular updates minute by minute, twitter allways up to date and match reports then appear on our own website (not pitchero crap) within 1-2 hours of game finishing

Re: Arlesey Town v Chippenham Town

Just passing on what I noticed on the Chippenham website concerning updates/match reports. Couldn`t possibly comment.

http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/chippenhamtown/news/please-read-890458.html

Message reads:-
Just a note to the people that take great delight in criticizing the updates on the website, just to point out that we had no one doing the match report because of illness and I do believe that there was no one doing the Twitter because of??, also I do not think there was anyone from the Gazette.

If these people are so keen to get this information quickly there nothing stopping them going to the matches and providing this themselves, other than that they will have to wait until this information is available to put on the site.

Re: Arlesey Town v Chippenham Town

Just read the bit on the website which I assume was in answer to my earlier posting. Well that told me didn't it. My comments were not intended as a criticism of anyone but merely asking why the minimal information cannot be provided. I accept that if noone at the game was able to provide a report fair enough but to just put details of the team on the website just requires anyone at the match to post this information. After all if you had time to answer a point which was deemed to be criticism then why couldn't my point be dealt with and the team entered as well.
As for attending the matching yourself I used to go to a fair number of away games but expect like a lot of people  the cost of getting to the games ( not a problem if you can travel on the team coach) is prohibitive and to be honest the performances this season just haven't warranted giving up your Saturday. Still one plus point if we get relegated a lot of "local" games to look forward to next season and travelling not such a problem.
