Re: Loan signee

A very good signing here by the manager. Already looks well connected with the current playing squad even cited on Wikipedia as being "Childhood friends with academy graduate (and now Chippenham Town skipper) Kieran Parselle. Some 48 appearances in League 2 and joins us from Hereford where he scored 11 goals in 32 appearances last season. Described as an Attacking Midfielder will slot in perfectly to our midfield after the departure of Whelan and the suspension of Youssef. According to the website they are hoping to have Tom available tonight for Maidstone and should provide us with another attacking option from the middle of the park.

I am sure everyone will join the club in wishing all the very best to Tom during his stay with us and hopefully he can join the growing list of players who have come in on loan and done a fantastic job for us as we strive to improve and get ourselves up the National League South table. Good luck and welcome Tom Owen-Evans (The Welshest Name in History)

Re: Loan signee

I hate to question you but isn't Owain the Welsh spelling?

He was born in Bristol, listed as English on Wiki.

Re: Loan signee

Re: Loan signee

Arguably will start tonight you would think with Elias' ban impending I am sure they are going to want to bed him into the team as quick as possible with Elias being out for 3 games and they are 3 pretty important games Maidstone, Chelmsford and Bath. And Space Raider, I am certain you are right, Owain just reminds me of the Gavin and Stacey episode and I had to have a little chuckle. Really hope we can go to Kent tonight and grab a result of some description, we certainly earned a point Saturday that sadly didn't come to fruition however, another tough game, another big ask but this team are more than capable I am sure!

Re: Loan signee

Thought he looked decent last night.  Some iffy final third execution at times, but one of the brighter players.

Re: Loan signee

Match awareness will be one of the things I am sure that will come with experience, not played consistently in his preferred position I am told at Hereford so this will be an experience for him as well as us hopefully benefiting from it. I as well heard good things from last night much a long the same line as the comment above so hopefully will be a good addition. Wonder if he can play centre half lol!!
