Welling United

Looked in last night from sports pavilion, team training on the pitch preparing for Welling, reliably informed we are ten unbeaten, Richards for Parselle, Pratt maybe ?

Re: Welling United

Richards for Parselle is almost a definite I would assume mate. Pratt made a cameo appearance against Dartford but never really had the chance to get on the ball, such was the nature of the last 20 minutes. He is heading back to full fitness but for me, not ready to start a game yet. Jarv, Zeb and Nell have been absolute revelations over the 10 game run, vital goals, excellent link play. Jarvis in particular brings the midfield into the game with tremendous hold up play, quick pass and off into the box. For me that front three is the go to.

Don’t think the gaffer will have too much thought for Northampton tomorrow, the league is our bread and butter and after recent results for both teams, this has to be a game we fancy ourselves for three points.

Worry about the cobblers next week for now, all guns blazing against the Wings!!!

Re: Welling United

Very different Welling side then mate, very different. They are definitely not the side they were when they beat us 4-1 and I think they will find it tricky tomorrow. No of course we don’t take them at face value but should be another result in the bag for the bluebirds. I personally hope we get the win, it’s a great habit and something to make Northampton take notice ahead of next weeks FA Cup Showdown

Re: Welling United

On current form we should win, I hope we focus properly on this game and then think about Northampton afterwards. Welling have scored very few goals this season and as TheVoice stated they are a different team to the one that beat us here last year, with a different manager. I hope the forecast wind and rain doesn't spoil it too much. 2-0 Chippenham, 523.

Re: Welling United

I think their new manager is their old manager who is their chairman....

Re: Welling United

Horrible conditions but a missed opportunity to get 3 points. Karnell hit the bar/post but that was it. Slot it don't fizz it in lad!

Onto the FA Cup now...

hit the woodwork twice and had a goal disallowed, missed 2 sitters as well. At least we keep the unbeaten streak and get a clean sheet but got to be taking our chances better against a pretty rubbish team in welling. Richards probably our best player today, great to have him back for northampton.

Jesus yeah. Forgot about the disallowed goal!

Re: Welling United

One of those days where the weather was the winner. Horrible condition to play in. Must say the pitch looked in great condition even at the end of the match so well done to the groundman! First half we had the best chances. Haines had a great chance to score but on an another day he would of scored easily. 2nd half we got caught out a few times when they went on the counterattack but was brilliantly defended by Richards ( and my man of match today )

Still unbeaten in 10 games going into the next match against Northampton! Let’s do this!!!
Up the bluebirds!

Re: Welling United

A case of missed chances, should of been at least 2 up at half time, however Richards and McDonald made some important blocks in the second half. Whelan was again everywhere, really hope we can extend his loan.  Can’t wait for next Sunday.
