    Chippenham Town have announced this morning that they have received an undisclosed (yet healthy) donation to the football club from the late, great David Johnson in accordance with his family.

    David’s passing was an incredibly sad time for the football club with his smiling face taking pride of place up in the blues bar, and a plaque in his favoured spot in Hardenhuish Park to mark his untimely passing. Whilst this once again throws into light how missed David is, it’s another incredible display of why!

    Thanks David, from all of your fellow CTFC supporters for the generous contribution and of course to the family of David Johnson without whom this would not have been possible.

    Fingers crossed we can dedicate a win to you on Saturday on the road against Dartford..

    Kind words Voice, and I'm sure everyone connected with CTFC remember Dave and miss him like crazy. The donation was actually handed over during the BBB Monthly Meeting in the Blues Bar yesterday evening. Apparently Dave's family have a get together once a year to remember him, and they always have a collection which is given to a worthy cause, and it was CTFC's turn this year, which is an extremely generous gesture by Dave's family. You will never be forgotten by all your friends at CTFC Mr. J.

    That is such a lovely touch, I was quite lucky to know the family rather well spending a lot of time with Dave's son growing up on the terraces together as many of us did back then. David was always one of the good guys down at the club, some people (and I think we all know at least one) are always going to have those that like them and those not so much. David was one of those rare few people that I never heard a bad word said about, by anyone. Truly a CTFC guy, through and through.

    "Football" Dave  (as Wil Hodgson called him) is much missed by me and my mates who enjoyed his company in many pubs around town. First met him in the Kingfisher selling raffle tickets for the club and he's still raising money now that he's left us... proper legend
