News has broken today that James Guthrie has signed for Swindon Supermarine. James has departed the club as one of the longest serving players in recent history having signed from Highworth Town in January 2011. During his time at the club, James has scored 32 goals in 315 appearances for the club in league and cup football, delivered many an assist in that time also, and has a Southern Premier League Champions Medal to his name as a large part of the squad that won promotion to the National League South.
James leaves Chippenham I am sure with everyone's best wishes and thanks for a remarkable amount of time spent with the club and personally would just like to wish James every success with Swindon Supermarine. I believe they have got themselves a very good player and one that I for one will be sad to see around Chippenham Town F.C.
Good luck James

One mystery solved just Dean Evans 's relationship with the club to be resolved.

It is a mystery why Dean and James both departed, pity the club cannot shed any light on what happened. Two good players gone and no reasons given, shocking.

Has Dean Evans gone?

I for one am sorry to see him leave. Despite the issues he has been a great servant to the club.
