100 Years @ Hardenhuish Park

So as many would have seen on the Facebook, Website and other forms of social media, this weekend the club is celebrating 100 years at Hardenhuish Park.

Before the game, in the town centre, Mrs Sandie Webb (former Chairman of Chippenham Town F.C) will be in the town centre, selling copies of her recent publication Town United. This promises to be a must read for any CTFC fan with a large element of the proceeds I am told to be going to the club itself. Sandie has put tireless effort into this book not just with the actual writing of the piece, but the research that has gone into the club from it's very earliest years before Chippenham even had drinking water, we had a football team!

Also present will be members of our 2000 FA Vase squad, sharing stories and talking to fans, signing any copies that people would like to be signed. As you can imagine they are a large part of this book and a big part of the recent history of CTFC with the Wembley Stadium appearance and then the drive up the divisions from the Screwfix Western League.

Lee Burns, captain of this side will be present with as many of the squad as possible both in the town and as guests of honour at the game against Dulwich and Lee has asked for as many fans in attendance as possible both in the town centre for a good old catch up, and at the game for a few drinks and hopefully to take in three points as we seek to enjoy another successful campaign. And who knows still in the FA Cup, still in the FA Trophy.. maybe another Wembley appearance (OK I know I lead the optimistic army, but even I think I might be stretching a bit there).

This really is an occasion for celebration and we hope to see as many past players, fans, board members and their families as we celebrate your part in the grand history of Hardenhuish Park and Chippenham Town F.C. Everyone has a memory, a story to share and Saturday is the perfect chance to do so. So grab as many people as you can, head on down to Hardenhuish Park as we celebrate 100 years and look forward to the next however many

Re: 100 Years @ Hardenhuish Park

Picked up my book from the Museum today and Sandie and Doug Webb signed my copy.  Great to look quickly through it before todays game, and should be a good read.  Worth the £16.00, every penny. Several pictures of people still around, including your Mum (Voice), see you later Fran.  3 point needed today.
