Tyrone Mings to Aston Villa
Tyrone has agreed a deal to join Aston Villa from Bournemouth for a fee expected to be in the region of 20 mill, believe Bournemouth paid Ipswich 8 mill. I do not think Chip had a sell on clause, what a pity, as we could have been in the money.

No sell on clause as he wasn't on contract. Was lucky to get the 10k we did from Ipswich.

Taking into account Tyrone's injury issues over the last year or so, I think a fee of £20 million is something of a risk here IMO. However, with current inflated transfer fees these days, what do you get for £20 million ? A decent squad player in the Premiership ? A work colleague of mine in our Birmingham office, who is a Villa fan, told me last week this deal would probably go through this week, and Tyrone is being earmarked as Villa's Captain for this forthcoming season. If only we had Tyrone on contract during his short spell with us - Oh well !
