Those who believe that Harry Rutty is a product of Chippenham Park are sadly disillusioned and misinformed. Yes Harry joined Pulse or Football ID or whatever it’s now called, but that’s not where he learnt his football. He was at AFD Bath and Banes FD in the JPL. He had seasons with Southampton FC and became a decent player. He then joined Pulse having been sold the “last chance” dream, but to claim that somehow he was turned into a player through playing at Chippenham Park is nonsense. It’s the equivalent of a youngster playing for the reserves in the old days and excelling, that’s all. Any talk that Harry Rutty is some kind of example of why Park worked is a load rubbish.
