Been looking at the net (during my diner hour) and noticed the following on the CTFC website last night. I have tried to post the link but for some reason it will not work, so I have been forced to paste the contents below.
I am just passing this on (off my own back), I have my opinion on the subject but do not want accusions being thrown at me like they have been in the past. Personally I always post under my own name and stand by any posts and comments that I have made in the past or in the future.
Post reads:-
There have been several comments on the unofficial forum that the Football Club does not communicate with the supporters, this is Totally Untrue we have 300 Members Registered on the website and when a News Story or a Match Update or Fixture Change or Postponement is available then this information is not only put on the website as A.S.A.P. but sent out to the 300 Members Via E-mail.
Therefore if you want to keep updated with latest information all you have to do is register on the Club Website and we will send out updates as we get them, there is also a new I-phone App that you can download for Free and all the updates are all sent to this App automatically.
With regard to the Match Details, the Match Reports Match Pictures and Match Video, this does take quite lot of time process and they are put on the website as soon as they are received and this is usually by Monday for the Saturday game or Wednesday for the Tuesday game and this in turn is sent out to the Facebook and Twitter accounts.
All this information was put on the Forum but as per usual because of someone’s delight in making unnecessary and offensive and derogatory comments I no longer put and information on the forum, so if you need to blame anyone for the lack of information then you will have to take it with the person or persons concerned on the forum.

Thanks Robin for the insight from the CTFC website, which I doubt I would have read because it so out of date. However I do agree that there are some nasty and derogatory remarks of late on this forum which are totally unnecessary, down to one person mainly who has many a time been told to wind his neck in, but as usual one idiot will spoil it for the many. CTFC obviously read this forum, so they should post and keep the majority of supporters in the loop and rise above the sarcasm etc.

With respect CTFC - If you read it (and you clearly do) why not just post a link to to your own website as a brief taster. Your goal should be to encourage traffic.
Even websites need to advertise.

Thanks Rockin for cutting and pasting the post from the official website, I would never have seen it otherwise.
I am not sure that I agree with having to register on a website to receive news about the club I support and I am certainly not going to buy an iPhone just so I can download an app to keep me informed
The club should not blame one person on the forum for no longer posting information to keep the majority informed. Information should be readily and easily available to all without the need to register or buy an iPhone.
Quite an interesting insight into how the club thinks and treats its loyal supporters

with reference the post from CTFC website for christ sake on about passing the buck, and how come the next home game info did not go on the board outside the ground until today this should have been done no later than saturday evening, lets be honest the supporters are treated like mushrooms (kept in the dark and fed on bull s**t) no wonder the gates are falling, i for one will not be renewing my season ticket next season, rant over i awaite your replys.

Sorry CTFC but as a supporter and season ticket holder I can only say that the official website is poor. This has been the case since Pitchero took "control" of the site. To be fair to the club they are not alone - I was a frequent visitor to the Mangoes web site until they fell under the spell of Pitchero and now it is a waste of time.
Previously our owm web site carried uptodate match reports and player profiles - now you can't get the squad that played the most recent game.
I read the comment about the communication issue and it was fair and reasonable - stressing that it was not directed at anyone personally. The truth is that many of us have raised this issue before both on line, at meetings and face to face with club officials and still the matter remains unresolved.
In the old "beak days" at least I felt somewhat closer to the club but on our current forum which "is no way connected" to any club in Chippenham I do feel that we are all ploughing a lone furrow.
Weymouth still have an old style non Pitchero site which like the "Beak" was, is unoffical - CTFC officers may take note that when I checked today they had received 4500 hits following last nights match with Frome. I suggest that is communication

Surely if people are saying things then there are issues. My suggestion to CTFC would be why not have someone responsible for posting the match reports, another for game videos, photos etc etc as oposed to what I assume is one person doing it all. In addition why dont the club approach the fans on what they would like to get from a Website, it doesnt have to be done face to face why not have a multiple question/survey on the main website for a month to gauge opinion and set up a website team to bring it to reality.
