Re: v Bideford

Evostik give today's attendance as 291, though by the end of the game, the crowd had thinned considerably with just a handful of the diehards left in the Town End which we were attacking. (Sorry, attacking is too strong a word, I should have said playing towards).

Re: v Bideford

Stupidly we thought it couldn't get any worse than last week. OH HOW SO WRONG. I've seen more organisation in a kids team. We looked like 11 individuals out there none of whom had a clue what any of the others we doing. You can't blame a manager if a player can't pass to a team mate but the tactics and team selection is the managers responsibiity and today tactics were none existent. I don't know why the Bideford goalkeeper didn't join the fun his team mates were having and play as an outfield player and keep the goal empty as his goalkeeping skills weren't needed today.
Can't understand Harris today as he has been one of our best players since signing but today it seemed from the off as if he was determined to get sent off.
I'll be there on Tuesday and will be right behind the team providing they give you something to support. You will get right behind them if you can see everyone is giving it their alleven if things aren't working out but another performance like today and I'll wait till 4 down and then I will be off and seriously think about turning up for the next game.
Been supporting Chippenham for 13 years now and this is the lowest and the worst to date and unfortunately it's difficult to see where any improvement will come. Hope Tuesday gives us something to cheer about.

Re: v Bideford

Rudge after last last weeks game! “We’ve just got to draw a line under it. Manchester United lost 6-1 to Manchester City so every team has days like that."
maybe he can see into the future! Always worrying when a non league manager compares their team to Man Utd!

Re: v Bideford

Having had a few hours and a couple of beers to get over yesterday still can't believe how bad, inept, embarrassing and humiliating that was. If we thought the week before was bad (which it was) what was yesterday????

If Rudge stays in charge I fear for our chances of staying in the league, we're only 8 points off the drop and with us playing the way we are can't see us picking up many more points. Of course it'll be the fans fault for being too negative and that being passed onto the players, yeah, right.

Would like to think Rudge is writing his resignation letter or is being asked for but if we've a board that gives an untested manager a two year contract I doubt it. When Mingsy left I was hoping that we'd have a fresh appointment to go with the new investment, someone with no history with the club, someone who'd come in, look at the club with fresh eyes and clear out the dead wood, sadly we got Rudgey on Mingsy's recommendation, thanks for that.

The players are lacking in confidence, organisation, ability and despite having played in the team Rudgey hasn't addressed the team's problems. With the exception of Ballinger we must have the slowest team in the league, look at the back four yesterday, faced with a bit of movement and pace (wasn't Bideford's no 4 outstanding) they were ripped to pieces.

I'll be there Tuesday to support the team but fear I could be watching a car crash as if Bideford can put 7 on us how many could Hemel....

Re: v Bideford

Well we all walked out mumbling, heads down, tails between legs. I suppose that embarassing is a polite way of putting it and I'm just glad that I didnt encounter any Bideford supporters on the way out. We've had embarrassments before, 1-5 to Merthyr springs to mind, but that really was a one off aberation and we returned the favour the following week, but this goes on getting worse. Should we keep faith some more and assume once again that next week will be different? For me its an all time low and after three quarters of the season it seems that the great experiment has clearly failed. Whether it was wise to try it in the first place can be argued about but its really water under the bridge now. Its more a question of what we can do about it. We've lost some good players (whatever the reasons they put up front) and replaced them with some that are not up to it. Those that do remain from former years are clearly unsettled and not playing like their former selves and if we're not careful we could see further departures. Who, I wonder, are the players not turning up for training that were mentioned in last week's radio interview.  If the management team have a two year contract we're stuffed. If not maybe Adie or even Pete Hussey, if approached, would act as caretaker until a proper interview for a replacement can be arranged. Assuming a successful escape from relegation at least we could look forward to something promising next season. See you on Tuesday.

Re: v Bideford

See one of the Webbs has been gobbing off. Is she still in charge because she clearly pulls the strings. Makes me sick to the bone no wonder they are struggling for sponsors with the Webbs thinking they are some sort of chippenham mafia

Re: v Bideford

I do not know you Cooky or the Webbs but i have to say I fail to see the point of this post as it adds nothing to a, so far, sensible debate and is more demeaning to you than them.
Having suffered the previouse game I was ,luckily  unable to see this one but i have to agree that we seem to be worse off than this time last year and some tough decisions need taking to avoid a fate we do not wish to consider.Sorry Nathan but you seem to have lost the dressing room and i am afraid my vote,

Re: v Bideford

Chippenham back in the dark ages again.

Time for people to put hands in pockets and stop going for the "cheap option" managers as it doest work.

I would like to say bring back Darren Perrin, but then he wont come back as he is still probably pulling the knife's out of his back.
