Thinking about it, having loitered just clear of the drop zone for a while, being described as mid-table shite is something of a compliment.

Congratulations to the players, management, staff and volunteers for their hard work which has been rewarded with another season in this league. I always felt that our task was primarily survival and our form in the last 6-8 weeks has ment that we achieved this deservededly. We have in this period played a lot of the top sides and in many games beaten them. They were often technically superior but we have become very hard to beat coupled with an excellent team spirit. I am sure that statistics for possession would often show us to be in deficit but also that we defend staunchly and strike efficiently. Today was a classic example. Truro dominated the first half but excellent defence and great goalkeeping combined with a fabulous pass and brilliantly taken goal gave us the lead. Deflated and frustrated, Truro were hardly a threat in the second half. For me Andy Sandell had his match of the season.

Agree with all of the above. Well done to everyone. We can now look forward to another year in CS.
Two points:
1. I've seen McCootie about five or six times. What does he bring to the team? His team mates don't even pass to him. Very surprised if he's her next season.
2. That 'Truro fan' was completely right. There is NO atmosphere at Chippenham.
I suppose you still want Jared Thomson out as well as you stated many times !

Thanks blueboo for reminding everyone about that! You will recall that Thompson went through a 'bad spell' and was costing us points. Like any good keeper he came through and is now back on top form. I would even go so far as saying he is my POTS!

I thought we were excellent yesterday, a really committed performance.
As for Jared I think he’s had a great season and we’ve been lucky to have him. So he’s made the odd error - the very top goalkeepers do that - but I’d love to see him back next season, he’s been excellent for us, as we have for him I reckon. It’s easy to forget he’s only 19. I believe he has one more year on his contract at Chelsea so I guess it’s down to them as to how they see his development. They could want him to go out on loan to a club in the National League, or even League 2 to stretch him further so time will tell on that one.
