And why wouldn’t it be? Short career, you have to make as much as possible in a short space of time. Beano probably lives on or near south coast too, so Poole is a good and convenient option I guess.
I've got no problem at all with footballers moving for the money. Why don't they just admit it? Instead of coming up with such guff as:
# I spoke to the manager and and he sold me the ambitions of the club.
# I bought into the club's ethos.
# I'm looking forward to being part of a new project.
And when asked what his ambitions are, they invariably answer:"To play football matches and score as many goals as possible." Why don't they just admit that they signed on in order to earn as much as possible? What's wrong with that?
Give me strength! 🤦♂️
Yorkie, let me ask you this. If you went to a job interview that paid you more money and you got asked, why do you want to work for the company?
Would your answer honestly be purely focussed on the fact you will earn an extra couple of quid? Or would you make it about the opportunity the role brings?
Not quite sure of the point you are trying to make, but in any interview that I've had in my career the very last point to be discussed was always the salary!
With the vast majority of footballers, wages/salaries are always top of the list. They then treat the club and its supporters with disrespect when they insist that it's about 'the project' or the 'club's ethos'.......as if anybody honestly believes them. Even worse, there are players who insist that the clubs' fans are the best in the country and they can't wait to start playing. Twelve months later they are on the way to the next 'project.'
Perhaps I'm been a bit harsh, but after watching the sport for more than 65 years
I have tended to become very cynical!

I'm no expert analyst, but it looks as though they're pulling out all of the stops to avoid relegation.

Including Beano, that makes 6 players. My understanding is that you can have on loan a maximum of 5 players on loan at any one time at this level - naughty boys - someone tell the National League !!!!!
