Today's scuffle

Re: Today's scuffle

That's not helpful... dreadful scenes.

The ref totally lost control of the situation. Ben Johns prevented from retrieving the ball from the back of the net after the very dubious penalty by St Neots players, pushed into side netting and kicked whilst he was on the ground. Then their fan on pitch and refusing to leave after confronted by stewards...

I feel sorry for Ballinger - terrific goal which looked like the winner which would have been the story instead of which we are now not talking about football.

Re: Today's scuffle

Cooky grow up you wally!

Hate seeing scenes like that, real shame as that will be the talking point and not a good game of football from two strong teams.

Didn`t see what happened concerning the accusations but if anything is proven I hope they have the book thrown at them.

No actual blows were exchanged between supporters. Some pushing and shoving yes. What started the incident was a home fan, that decided he was getting involved in the fracas by punching a visiting player through the net. The person on the pitch was the father of the player that got punched, incensed by what he had just witnessed. A female steward was heard to say about the accused fan to your chairman "it was him again"

It was probably me that was the "Gobby Fan" that had driven 170 miles to watch my team play. At no time was I punched or indeed did I punch anyone. What happened incensed me and my fellow football fans, two drunken middle aged men, who decided that they wanted to join in the antics of the players. There was no boot put in on the keeper, the keeper didn't throw any punches, one player pushed the goal keeper over whilst he tried to stop the ball being quickly retrieved and taken back to the centre circle. Home players then waded in and punches were exchanged between the two players that were sent off, amongst others. Unless you were in amongst it, in which case I apologise, then may I suggest that poster above, that congratulates the small minded cretin that assaulted a player, gets some glasses.

Oh by the way already looking forward to your visit to us........hope you can all make it including boom boy.....

Cooky..
Don't know you.. don't really want too after them comments as you seem like a bit of a knob... When you come to our ground on the return fixture please make yourself known to our stewards..Free entry.. VIP treatment and all that

Decent game spoilt by the incident in the last few minutes, maybe not a pen? but scenes after from both teams not really acceptable.

No mention on here yet of the Chippenham 'fan' punching our player, but if caught on camera could spell trouble!

Fair result... Good luck... Roll on next Sat

Re: Today's scuffle

Back to the football........I thought it was a very good game.  St Neots were a big powerful side who liked a tackle (no problems with that - that's how football should be played) and we had to be at the top of our game throughout.  Their blond lad was outstanding and Adie Harris was immense for us in the middle of the park.   Great stuff.

Re: Today's scuffle

I don't know if Adie and Ollie Thorne have crossed paths before, but if both players are available for the return game, expect fireworks.........Ollie was missing due to suspension on Saturday.
