Re: Retained List

All very positive so far. Puddy is a must, board must back the manager on his retention.

Re: Retained List

This is all very positive.

Would seem with Hanks and Hamilton we’ve dipped into the Gloucester connection to bring in strength in two areas of the pitch we desperately needed too. With Hamilton hopefully this could be a first class replacement for Will Richards as Curtis and Harry have both moved on, it’s great to see Kieran on that list and very reassuring to see Rhys Tyler and Callum Gunner two standout performers from last year.

Our results really changed on the introduction of the loanees last term, Haines was my player of the year, even with his little Swindon holiday, loved Russe when he came in and Twine, well he really changed the season didn’t he! Big goals in big games and a danger from set pieces. These lads are going to be very hard to replace and in my opinion, the manager should be going hell for leather to grab these lads in for another season. Foulston as well was looking good at LB and be interesting to see if any or all of these lads have been spoken too or their clubs.

Great start from Cooky and an excellent start to the push for next season. On the form we were on at the back end of the season, we will be a very hard team to beat when normality resumes assuming we can make the right signings and keep the players instrumental to that playing style that Mike has impressed upon the club.

Top shout out must go to those that have kept the club running during this period of uncertainty. We may not always agree with every decision made but ultimately, we have always had a club to support and a successful one at that. Long may it continue and here’s hoping we can get back to the Town Ground soon! I’ve missed it far too much! Stay safe everyone

Re: Retained List

Will Puddy has now signed, so things coming together nicely it seems. Lots to look forward to......eventually.

Re: Retained List

You seem to be ahead with the news re Puddy Chipp54 as there is no formal announcement as yet on the Clubs official website and they have been on the ball since lock-down with all the comings and goings!!

Re: Retained List

Chippy, I got this from the latest Mike Cook/Marc McGregor video on Youtube, which are interesting to watch and keep us fans informed with their latest thoughts and signings:

Re: Retained List

Am I the only one underwhelmed that Dave Pratt has signed on again? He will have needed to have shaken off the injury he appeared to be carrying all last season and got a lot fitter during lockdown if he isn't going to a bench-warner for us. Perhaps the break will have done him good - very willing to be proved wrong and to see him worrying defences again.

no, i was also surprised but equally miffed that MacDonald went, but thats football i guess. I would hope that Pratt has been offered a reduced deal given last season performances.
