Weston Away

Listened to the game on the commentary, sad to see the play-off hopes seemingly over. Seems we were not at our best tonight and Weston took the game by scruff of neck. Embarrassing that their fans were swearing at and shouting at our commentator in the first half as well.

Re: Weston Away

Only able to follow intermittently via twitter there was a fluke goal for WSM in extra time before HT and a last minute penalty at the end of the second half, so perhaps a bit unlucky. We do need to learn how to kill games off when we go ahead however

Re: Weston Away

A sad way to end the brilliant little run. We were fantastic in th first 20 minutes and looked the likeliest to score and did so ... a well taken strike from TOE after  a mishit shot. WSM then began to assert themselves, playing patiently and slickly across the pitch  and  winning a succession of corners... one of which appeared to have floated into our net just on half time, on a very strong offshore side-wind. They utterly dominated the half hour after the interval as  we were penned into our own half for the majority of it.  Eventually in the last 10 minutes we began to re-assert ourselves, MM had come on for Fas, Ed W for Jake E and AAH for Alex Bray.  AAH went up top and we suddenly looked dangerous again... nearly getting the winner in a frantic 3 shot goalmouth scramble.  Didn't see the penalty foul... but our protests suggest that it wasn't clear cut.  Sad to lose... sadder to lose so close to the death.  Some of the WSM supporters are an unpleasant lot... nasty chanting.. general baiting... Hopefully, we're a little more grown-up! Yellow cards aplenty.. and for Management, too.
