I see the Salisbury ‘supporters’ threw objects at the Torquay coach last night. Remember when we went there in the Southern League and they were lobbing house bricks at our coach. Their own chairman pleaded with them last season as they were attacking opposition fans inside the ground and throwing things at the opponents goalie. As Salisbury are obviously incapable or unwilling to take any decisive action perhaps the National League need to step up and speak in a language their delinquents and the club understand i.e. a points deduction.

There are a few teams who have some rather unsavoury characters in this league. I recall recent problems with Enfield, Weymouth and Farnborough supporters in games involving Chippenham in past year/18 months. Always find it peculiar that at rival games such as Bath, Salisbury no trouble but random teams like Enfield there is. Hadn't seen trouble like that in the bar since the Merthyr game few years ago. The National League response will be interesting on Salisbury throwing objects at team coach. Always makes me laugh when I see on social media supporters from other clubs claiming Chippenham have a firm when there is nothing of the sort, go to a game at a higher level and people will see what trouble and a firm actually are.

Re: Salisbury trouble, this probably explains why a flustered and over-officious Salisbury steward got so uptight about my compadre and I being in the wrong area at the RayMac stadium (because we had arrived just post kick-off) I guess they were anxious to segregate us, not because we posed a threat (Ha! Ha!) but to protect us from their small core of parasitic supporters who obviously get off on being fighty and confrontational. Interesting to see if they advise segregation at the TSS for the return fixture.
