Over 2200 watch Merthyr lose to Paulton Rovers in the play-off final. What a result that is on the plastic! Congratulations to ex-bluebirds Nick Bunyard and Josh Jefferies. Just keep your hands off our best players.

Just got back from the Merthyr v Paulton game. Paulton were by far the better side. The big centre forward Nick Mcootie bullied there two slightly overweight centre backs for the complete 90 minutes.
He smashed the first in from close range and was brought down in the box after getting away from his markers. He pickled himself up and put the penalty in the corner. The Paulton No 7 (unsure who he was) played centre midfield seemed to be involved with everything very calm throughout. Two very good players who would push us in the right direction. Hope the recruitings going well Mark & Tom.

Excellent result and a nice local derby at a decent club next season. Our old player Brandon Barnes was doing well for them a while ago - don't know if he played in the final

Yes Brandon played and did well,as did Bally, who became the villan of the crowd going down and staying down a couple of times, but did it very well.Unfortunately its allpart of these type of games.Good to see Sammy running the line he also did very well and not intimidated by the partisan home crowd,Unlike alot of linesmen and Refs we see these days.
