Re: Griff moves on

Not entirely suprised about this announcement in all honesty. I understand that Griff was keeping his options open when the majority of the first team squad had agreed in principle to commit for next season. Not sure where he will end up next season because at 35 years of age I would guess his options are somewhat limited. Will be intersting to see who the Manager has in mind to bring in as a replacement, because I feel with Griff now gone, we are slightly short in numbers up-front. Has anyone heard if Jack Odan will be returning next season, as the last I heard he was in the States doing training for a Uni over there.

Re: Griff moves on

As with Coupe this is a shame but I'm sure others can be more generous than we can afford. My dream of two Griffins up front this season proved to be just that

Absolute quality, massive loss for us massive gain for you, he turned down Bath City last year to stay with us but after another poor season for us he has decided to move on, he could certainly play a higher level than this

Re: Griff moves on

Very good signing I'm told (can't say I know this player) and some disappointment on the Frome forum not surprisingly.  Another of their players, Mark Cooper (not that one), has been another of our targets in the past I think but he's got himself a decent move to Weymouth.  Does a decent haircut too.

Frome sign Tyler Sibbick and two more of his Larkhall team-mates.

Re: Griff moves on

I believe we were after Sibbick last season and probably this one as well. With Charlie and Alan gone plus Darren Edwards from last season and no confirmation of Mark Francis or Jack Odam our other forwards from last year we are looking woefully short up front again - just Ashan Holgate at present. The lads being talked about from Park are also defenders/midfielders.

Re: Griff moves on

I dont think we should forget Phillips, and Ferguson is a striker i think, as well as a good mid fielder. Smith great signing.

Re: Griff moves on

Been after Sibbeck for a couple of years but he wanted to see if he could go up with Larkhall, he is a goalscorer and would have been a huge signing for us, him and Griff/Holgate would have been a great partnership.

How many games has Phillips got left in him, nothing more than a subm IMO and Fergie's better as a midfielder where he can play a pass rather than have to hold the ball up. Another season where we're strong at the back but don't score enough?

Re: Griff moves on

Well lets wait and see, forwards keep signing elsewhere which is a worry, reasons anyone ??
